The John Amendola Volunteer of the Year Award

New City Little League presents the John Amendola Volunteer of the Year Award every year at Opening Day. This award is presented to someone who exemplifies what both John and Little League stand for – helping children become good and decent citizens.
John gave his time and talent to the children of New City Little League in many ways. He was committed to ensuring the values of teamwork and sportsmanship to every player. His attitude of just wanting the children to play, is deeply ingrained in the Board of Director’s beliefs in how we currently operate New City Little League. It was truly extraordinary the extent that John went – to provide every child the opportunity to play Little League Baseball and Softball.
New City Little League is proud to recognize those who epitomize the true spirit and values of John Amendola.
